First Notes of Spring

We are delighted to present this Spring Concert at Our Crafty Place, marking the very first music concert in this wonderful space and the start of a new chapter for live music there.

This concert is especially meaningful to us, as we are performing in support of Our Crafty Place CIC, with all ticket proceeds going directly towards helping them continue their vital, inclusive creative work within the community. We’re also particularly proud that one of our own members, Kate Hawkins, is part of the Our Crafty Place team.

Cirrus Clarinet Quartet is made up of four accomplished musicians:

Kate Hawkins – B♭ clarinet

Steve Milner – E♭, B♭ and alto clarinets (though not all at the same time!)

Adam Blakey – B♭ clarinet

Phil Smith – Bass clarinet

Our programme offers a richly varied evening of music, ranging from classical favourites to pieces inspired by swing and klezmer traditions, showcasing the full colour, versatility and expressive range of the clarinet family.

The concert will begin at 7.30pm and promises a relaxed and uplifting evening of live music in a warm, welcoming setting. There will be an interval with refreshments.
